Per’s Newsletter for the week of May 3rd.
Hi folks!  Happy Friday!  What a week it’s been!  It’s hard to believe that it was snowing on Wednesday and we had a beautiful sunny day for field day this morning.  Our Downtown Denver Cultural day was a huge success.  The kids all showed how tough they can be when faced with a challenging situation and it turned out to be a lot of fun.  A special thanks to all the adults who came out to help, it was because of you that the day was so successful.
Film Festival
This year’s Film Festival turned out to be a huge success, and our class played an important role in that.  We had students involved in most of the films that were entered and a few of them won top awards.  I would like to send out a special congratulations to the hosts, who were all from our advising.  They worked very hard on their script for the award ceremony, and from what I heard, it was a really enjoyable time.  All the films can still be viewed on the JCOS home page (www.jeffcoopen.org), just follow the link under the recent announcements.
IA Spring Trip
Next week we are going to begin preparation for our spring trip to John Martin Reservoir.  I have most of the packets turned in and it looks like we are ready to go.  We will be handing out packing lists next week, so keep an eye out for those.
Thanks and have a great weekend, make sure you check the website (www.persadvising.blogspot.com) for more dates, homework, and information.
