Per’s Newsletter for the week of March 15^th.

Happy Friday everybody!  The last day of TCAP is behind us and everyone has earned a well deserved and restful weekend.  The kids all did an amazing job, and it’s not easy dealing with such a grueling schedule for two weeks, but we got through it.  To celebrate, I have decided to make the kids breakfast next week on Thursday morning.  I will bring in pancakes, eggs and bacon (I will also have some vegan friendly options).  If you would like to send your kid in with some fruit or juice it would be greatly appreciated.  I also invite parents to join us if you like.  We will be watching the movie adaptation of our read aloud book, Banner in the Sky by James Ramsey Ullman called “Third man on the Mountain.”  We will also be having our second Community Circle this Friday at 9:30 am as another way to celebrate all the hard work we have put into the last few weeks.  

Growing and Changing Parent Meeting

This upcoming Thursday there will be an informational meeting for Parents about our 5^th grade Growing and Changing unit.  The meeting will be held in my (Per’s) room and go from 5 to about 6 pm.  This meeting is not mandatory, but if you have any questions or concerns about the growing and changing unit, I encourage you to attend.  I apologize about the short notice, and if you are unable to attend, but have questions, please feel free to e-mail me.  All fifth graders will be sent home with a parent letter and a permission slip.  Please RSVP if you would like to attend our parent meeting.
