Per’s Newsletter for the week of February
14th.
Happy Thursday everybody! Hope you are
all having a nice Valentine’s Day.
Just a few announcements about the weeks ahead.
-There will be no school on Monday
because of President’s day.
-Homework for this week will be a little
different. Normally we have a
spelling test on Fridays, but because of the different schedule we will be
holding the test on Tuesday, so everybody has a little extra time to
practice.
-Our school wide Book It! Read-a-thon is
in full swing. Each kid has been
sent home with a reading log that has a column for pages read by the student
and one for the pages read by the students parents. At the end of each week we tally up the pages and then at
the end of Februrary we will add up all the pages we read and see how we stack
up with the rest of the school.
-Come support the JCOS theater department in its presentation of The
Sound of Music - Thurs., Feb. 28, Fri., March 1, Sat., March 2 at 7:00
pm and Sat. March 2 (matinee) at 1:00 pm. Purchase tickets in advance for
a discounted price of $8 for Adults and $5 for students or children under
12. It promises to be a great show - live theater for less than the cost
of a movie!
