3rd Annual Zombie Dash

What is the Zombie Dash?
The Zombie Dash is a fundraiser and a lot of fun
to raise money for the TRIP FUND! The Trip Fund needs all of us pitching in so
that it will continue to be available to all students.
How
It Works - students IA through Walkabout will be divided up into groups of “Zombies”
and “Runners”. Runners run laps around a
track trying to avoid being tagged (EATEN) by a Zombie (Runners get a belt with
4 flags, those who complete the laps and still have a flag WIN !). Students ask their friends and family to
sponsor them with a donation. Collection
envelopes will be sent out at the end of September.
Prizes
Students who raise
$25 or more will get an official 2013 Zombie Dash T-Shirt designed by one of
the
JCOS students!
The Advising Group
that raises the most $
per student will
win a
PIZZA PARTY!
Want to be a Zombie? 10
students (each session)who bring in money will have the option of signing up to
be Zombies. Naturally, staff are assumed
to be undead!
When? Wednesday, October 8th
1:05-1:45
(IA will participate during their specials)

The Field
Student T-Shirt Design Contest!
One lucky student will have their design chosen
for the official 2013 Zombie Dash T-Shirt. Submissions are due September 26th
to the Pumpkin/Zombie Dash box in the office. Pick up entry forms in the front
hall.
The
Winner will be announced at the Dash

The Trip Fund
Every year the Trip Fund is over spent by
$10,000! The reserve that we dip into
every year will soon be gone. We want to replenish the fund so that it
continues to be available for when the current IA and ELC students reach
Pre-walkabout and Walkabout.
If all JCOS students raise $25 for a t-shirt we
will exceed our goal to raise $10,000 for the trip fund!
What you can do to
help!
Please
look for the Zombie Dash collection envelopes in the Friday folders the last
Friday in September.
Talk
to your kid(s) about what to say and who to ask to fund raise for this event.
Help students remember to return the collection envelopes the day of the event.

These local businesses make it possible to put on
this event with no cost to JCOS or the PTSO.
This allows us to keep 100% of the student raised funds for the Trip
Fund.
